How Good Is Jenny Craig?

The Jenny Craig program is very popular among those with excess weight to lose. I know people who have successfully lost weight with the Jenny Craig program, which seems to promote healthy, sensible eating and exercise. However, there are downsides: such as the cost, and following the program once you've lost the weight.

A few years ago my mom and sister went on the Jenny Craig program. I was pregnant at the time. By the time my baby was born, both my mom and sister were slimmer than me (and I'd always been the "thin" one of the family). Wow! I thought, I've gotta get on Jenny Craig! There was one problem - the cost. You see, unlike my sister and Mom, who both had full time work and no dependents, I was a stay-at-home mom with three little kids. I just couldn't afford it!

Instead, I tried to follow the techniques they used to successfully lose weight by creating my own weight loss program based around the principles of Jenny Craig. And you know what? It actually worked!

You see, what programs like Jenny Craig do, is give you the right road map to follow to lose weight. You get exercise plans, you get food, and you get the support you need to keep going. This is why the program generally works better than "going it alone", the hard work is basically all done for you! I honestly believe that if I could have gone on the Jenny Craig program, it would have been easier for me to lose my excess weight. Having pre-prepared meals would mean that it would have been easier to avoid take out food when the rest of the family indulged in it, for example.

The other problem with the Jenny Craig program was that once my mom and sister went off it, they both gained weight again, because the pre-packaged food wasn't there for them to eat. But don't let that put you off! If you're overweight, and you've got the money, then why not have a go with the Jenny Craig program! It's worked for thousands of people, and it could work for you too.
